GWA = Σ (grade × units) ÷ Σ units. On the university scale 1.00 is the highest and 3.00 is usually the lowest passing grade; in senior high school, 75 is passing and honors start at 90.

Is 1.75 a good GWA?
Yes. On the 1.00–5.00 scale it is roughly equivalent to 88–90% and qualifies for honors at many universities (often 1.75 or better).
