Under the simplified FAFSA, Pell = maximum award − SAI, prorated for enrollment. Students with an SAI at or below 0 get the maximum; anyone with an SAI of $14,790 or more (twice the maximum) gets nothing. You can receive Pell for up to 12 semesters.
