Holiday Pay for November–December 2026

The last weeks of 2026 have three regular holidays and three special days. Here is what each one pays — whether you report for work or stay home — using the NCR minimum wage of ₱755 as an example.

The holidays left in 2026

Under Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025, these are the holidays remaining this year. Regular holidays pay 100% even if you don’t work and 200% if you do. Special (non-working) days follow “no work, no pay”, but pay 130% if you work.

Step by step: working on Christmas Day

  1. Hourly rate: ₱755 ÷ 8 = ₱94.375.
  2. Christmas Day is a regular holiday, so the first 8 hours pay 200%: 8 × ₱94.375 × 2 = ₱1,510.00.
  3. Overtime on a regular holiday pays 260% of the hourly rate: ₱245.38 per hour.
  4. If Christmas falls on your rest day (for example, you rest on Fridays), the rate is 260%: ₱1,963.00 for 8 hours.

Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve

24 and 31 December are special non-working days. If you work 8 hours, you get 130%: ₱981.50. If it is also your rest day, 150%: ₱1,132.50. If you don’t work, there is no pay unless your company grants it.

To be paid for a regular holiday you didn’t work

You must be present at work, or on paid leave, on the working day right before the holiday. If the day before is a non-working day for your company (for example, your office is closed on 24 December) or your rest day, you still get Christmas Day pay as long as you worked, or were on paid leave, on the day right before that non-working day or rest day.

Use the calculator to change the day type, add overtime or night hours, or switch to your own daily or monthly rate.

Planning around the holidays

If your company runs a skeleton crew over Christmas, ask early which days count as regular holidays and which are special days — the pay difference is big. Overtime on Christmas Day pays 260% of your hourly rate, and night work adds 10% on top.
